Karachi: Pakistan hockey team left for Dhaka without a goalkeeper to participate in the Asian Champions Trophy.

According to sources, none of the four goalkeepers of the Pakistan hockey team could sit in the plane with the team.

Sources said that Pakistan Hockey Federation had selected 2 goalkeepers Abdullah and Waqar, in the team. Both the goalkeepers had gone to India with the junior team.

Two more goalkeepers Mazhar and Amjad were called to the national team camp after the disappointing performance of the junior team.

Sources said that the visas of Amjad Ali and Mazhar Abbas to Bangladesh had not been applied yet, due to which both could not leave with the national team.

Sources said that the Asian Champions Trophy is starting from December 14 in Dhaka, and if no goalkeeper joins the team by December 13 then problems in the tournament may increase for Pakistan.
