Why big names of Cricket could not be a part of the 7th edition of PSL?

Due to the change of window and international commitments of foreign players, the big names in cricket could not be a part of the seventh edition of the Pakistan Super League.

All 6 franchises have finalized their teams after the draft for PSL Edition 7. Cricket fans miss many famous league players, including Chris Gayle and Ben Dunk.

It is reported that although Chris Gayle was included in the draft, no franchise was ready to take him and had already made that decision because Chris Gayle does not increase the value of any team as he used to.

Ben Dunk doesn’t play cricket all year and does commentary, so there’s a lack of consistency in his cricket.

The commitment of other foreign players in their national leagues and series prevented them from being a part of PSL.

The PSL usually starts in the second or third week of February; this time, due to a tour of Australia, its schedule was changed, and due to a change of window, it clashed with other series and leagues.

Also, the financial package no longer attracted the big foreign players.

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board Rameez Raja said that domestic players are more important than foreign players. Unlike our neighbour country, the window of our league is not such that when there is no international cricket during their league days.
